Recently, a heavy-haul truck carrying a gas tank overturned on a country road in the Emsland region. To ensure the transport could continue, it was necessary to verify that the tank was in good condition. To do this, the tank’s geometry had to be measured. Our colleagues on site used a laser tracker to compare the target and actual data and confirmed that the tank could be transported safely.
The transport resumed on Sunday, March 8, 2020. We are pleased that the project was a success and that the gas tank is back on track.
