We use FARO SCENE LT as free viewer software that allows you to access your laser scanning data. After a simple registration and installation, you can access the full range of features without a license or a constant internet connection. Aside from the options for modifying scan alignment, this version is identical to the full version and therefore offers a very wide range of features.
We rely on Autodesk ReCap as a powerful viewer for the -rcp (RecapProject) and -rcs (RecapScan) file formats. The software allows you to view, edit, and analyze laser scanning data in a user-friendly environment—including many useful tools for taking measurements in a point cloud.
