We had been searching for a WILD N3 level for years, and recently we got lucky and were able to buy a used one. What was amazing was that when we inspected the approximately 30-year-old level, we couldn’t detect any deviations! The difference in height in a test setup—measured from the center and from one end—was identical at 0.015 mm! What a great instrument!
Using the coincidence vial, slopes can be measured with a reproducibility of 0.25"! Even today, there are still measurement tasks in our day-to-day work that can be solved wonderfully with this excellent leveling instrument!
