To help children in Africa, we received active support at our Mainz location.
Every year, some schools in Germany give their students a day off to work at a company of their choice. The students donate the money they earn that day to Aktion Tagwerk e.V.
Aktion Tagwerk e.V. is a nonprofit organization founded in 2003. Since then, the organization has handled all the logistics surrounding the day and keeps schools informed about the event throughout the year. With the donated money, they fund projects in Africa to enable students to attend school. They provide support by supplying food, school uniforms, or seeds to families. The seeds purchased, for example, enable families to continue sending their children to school despite poor harvests.
Our employee’s son asked if we needed help supporting the Tagwerk campaign.
We were more than happy to accept and put his handyman skills to good use. The Mainz location is situated right next to farmland that is home to many different animals. We decided together to give something back to the environment.
So, on that day, we built and installed an insect hotel and several perches for birds of prey.
sigma3D would like to thank everyone for their active support and the wonderful additions for the animals. We’ve already been pleased to see that the perches are fulfilling their purpose very well.
